Certificate of Thesis of Distinction – presented to students whose Senior Theses are judged outstanding by the department.
Guy Cooper and Elizabeth Ray Award for Ancient Mediterranean Studies. This award will usually be given to one graduating senior, and is announced annually in April.
Prize for Departmental Service – for a student who has given significant time to helping the department or promoting Ancient Mediterranean Studies to UNC Asheville or the community at large. Given when a suitable student presents him/herself.
Elizabeth L. Ray Scholarship for junior and senior Ancient Mediterranean Studies majors. This need-based scholarship is awarded through the Financial Aid Office, in consultation with the Ancient Mediterranean Studies Department.
